Freshmen Are Going To School

I have been speaking out for awhile about how Republicans have put themselves in a position with their base and with the country at large, where they have convinced a majority that there is no need to raise the debt ceiling, and that there will be no short or long term repercussions for not doing it.

I have also detailed that by not refusing to stop campaigning after they won in November, they are setting themselves up for a huge train wreck. I think they are starting to figure out that demogoguing the debt ceiling is not very smart and is dangerous.

Republicans right now have two trains going at each other on the same track, how they stop those trains? I don't know it may be well too late. They have one of two choices, whereas they either let down their base by raising the debt limit or they screw the country by doing the unthinkable and not raising it.

I really don't understand their strategy, it may have been that they got themselves in so deep they didn't know how to get themselves out of it. Whatever it is, it looks like that they may be trying to find their way out by educating their 87 new Freshmen lawmakers, so they no that there is only one option and that is raising the debt limit.
